Michael Forbes
Michael Forbes plays saxophone, flute, guitar, keyboards and sings. The Michael
Forbes Explosion Band plays Classic Rock, Oldies and Blues, Rhythm and Blues,
and hits from the 80's 90's and 2000's. Some venues include the Bull Pen,
Hermosa Saloon, Marina City Club, King Harbor Yacht Club, Starboard Attitude, Marina Yacht Club, as well as private parties, corporate
gigs, and festivals. Michael plays flute, guitar and sings in a Jethro Tull
tribute band called Retro Tull. Michael plays saxophone, flute and keyboards
in a Rolling Stones tribute band called The Hollywood Stones. Michael plays sax with a Pink
Floyd tribute band called Which One's Pink. Michael played with "Which One's Pink" at the OC Fairgrounds on August 14, 2010 at the Speedway Track and The Hanger August 6, 2011. (Click Hanger link to view all of Dark Side of the Moon).
Michael's biggest moment was a quest appearance with David Gilmour of Pink Floyd
on his solo tour in 1985 at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre on "Blue Light" with
Rafael Ravenscroft (Baker Street) on alto sax. Michael played sax with Any Color You Like on August 6, 2009 with a live Laser
Spectacular show to Dark Side of the Moon and with Alan Parsons on "Don't Answer Me" at Club Nokia at LA Live in
downtown Los Angeles. Michael played with a Pink Floyd tribute show with "Shine On" on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas in summer of 2010 from July 20 to July 24th.

Michael also does video production
which includes weddings, hockey games, bands, and editing promo packs for bands.
He can shoot an event in High Def or DV with a Sony Z1U and edit in High Def and
make DVDs of special highlights of hockey players or performers. Some of his edits are posted on the
links above as Flash or Quicktime clips.
